Mode Homes Customer Journey

At Mode Homes, we understand that buying a new home can be the single biggest purchase you make in your lifetime. Our goal is to guide you through the process, ensuring a seamless and stress-free experience.

Your First Visit

We’ll give you all the time and support needed to explore which home-buying options are right for you, so ask as many questions as you need to. We provide full disclosure on all the important information about The Meadows, available plots, and the specific detail on your preferred home.

Whilst on site, you can explore our four and five-bed show homes, where we can give you an in-depth tour (should you need it) to demonstrate the features of the home.

When you’re ready to reserve, we’ll go through the detail of your plot to ensure you’re aware of all the details relating to your home, including any reservation fee, anticipated handover dates, your cancellation rights and any options or advice you need when it comes to securing a mortgage.

You’ll begin your exciting new home journey fully informed and empowered at every step of the way.

We’ll be in regular contact with you throughout the entire process, updating you on the build progress of your new home and ready to answer any questions.

Communication is key throughout this journey, and we know you have a lot to consider when it gets closer to your moving day, so we’ll always endeavour to keep you fully informed as you look to arrange your moving-in plans.

Amongst all the paperwork and decisions to be made, this is an exciting journey! We know you’ll be eager to see how your new home is progressing, so we’ll make sure you see all the key milestones as they happen either by sending you pictures or inviting you to site.

Each home build is personal, and each one is as important to us as it is to you. This is why we strive to give you the opportunity to make it yours with a range of choices offered, depending on the build stage when you reserve.

With a range of kitchen styles and colours, to upgraded deep-pile carpets and quartz worktops, your home will feel like yours from day one.

We’ll be clear from the point of reservation which options are available to you and invite you in to come and make your selections.

Once contracts have been exchanged and your home has passed a thorough quality assurance inspection to meet LABC standards, we will invite you to attend a demonstration of your new home.

Our site manager will show you how everything works and encourage you to try out various operations like the heating and hot water systems, kitchen appliances and show you where to find the top taps.

This a milestone visit as it means your home is almost ready to move into! So, ask as many questions as you need to, so that you can get all your final preparations made.

It’s handover day! The moment you’ve been waiting for. Once solicitors have confirmed that monies have been cleared, we will officially handover the keys to your new home, taking meter readings and complete the final moving-day checks with you.

It’s bound to be a busy day, so we’ll leave you with a robust checklist to complete in your own time during your first week.

After your first 24 hours in your new home, we’ll make a visit in case there’s anything urgent you need help with. Our customer care team will then arrange two further visits with you – one at 7 days and one at 28 days – giving you the opportunity to report anything you feel needs rectifying or ask further questions once you’ve had chance to try out your new home.

We strive to deliver the best customer care, so rest assured we will be on hand to resolve any issues within the first few weeks.

Our two-year Customer Care Package provides you with the comfort to know that we’ll be on hand to deal with enquiries quickly and efficiently. Your new home also comes with a LABC warranty covering any structural defects that may appear within the first 10 years.
